Portuguese Man o’Ball

There is no excuse for the long gap between my blogs, other than mummies are “working”…!! So, without further delay, here is a snapshot tour along the Atlantic coast of Portugal !

Captivating Carrapateira

Dune Dude!

Terrier on the terrace – our view over the town and ocean.

Amazing Amado surfer’s beach.

Pete’s Portuguese Posse – furfriends I made around town.

Enticing Evora

Roman ruins right in the centre of town – no corden, no security, just there to explore!

My favourite chapel……….. of bones!

Don’t understand why I wasn’t allowed in to Capella dos Ossos!

Even in blistering heat, there is always time for a nativity exhibition-2600 different scenes!!

Cosmopolitan Caiscais, Luscious Lisbon & Stunning Sintra

Pirate Pete overseeing the fishing port in Caiscais.

Look what my mummies bought to celebrate my birthday! EuroPete key rings!

Guess where we went?? The results were an outrage!

More boy visitors 🐶🤗

Pete the Navigator towering over the Monument to the Discoveries at Belem, birthplace to Pastel de Nata – yum!

Gothic Gargoyle at Palacio Nacional da Pena, Sintra.

Initiation Well at Quinta da Regaleira – amazing Palace with a labyrinth of tunnels connected to this Well.

Happy Birthday MM!

Cool Casas Brancas Camping

Birthday sleeping pod – but only one night,as too bijou and I had to sleep under the bed!

Upgraded to the yummy  yurt! Cool and cosy for the crazy weather we had!

Farmer Pete and his honesty stall.

Family day trip to Fatima – look at all that ball playing space going to waste!

Marinha Grande – had this grand beach all to myself!

Our poor little campsite stray – named Sparky by our new friend Florence. Podencos are a breed subjected to mistreatment and being dumped. She was timid but gorgeous and loved my kibble #hopeforpodencos.

Sir Pete, Knight Templar of Tomar.

Two tier, 400 year old, aqueduct of Pegões. Construction started under Spanish rule in 1593. If you’re brave you can walk along the top of it!

Pawfect Porto

Consequences of waking me before 1pm! Cheekiness in my swish Porto apartment!

Where’s Wally?

Gryffindor mascot (not me, the lion thing!) Behind us there are two churches with a house in between that is only 3ft wide!,

Harry Potter fun fact two – Livraria Lello is the magical bookshop that was the inspiration for J.K.Rowling’s wonderful books. Here’s MJ trying to channel Professor McGonagall!

Team Porto on the six bridge boat tour – ahoy, mi hearties!

Portuguese street art is incredible!

I wasn’t allowed on public transport unless I was in a box – mummies tried to smuggle me onto trains and an old tram…… it worked 💤

I took a Tuk Tuk to Foz do Douro!

All safe on my watch! Farolim De Felgueiras is one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world because of the wild Atlantic storms.

And so ends the Portuguese leg of this adventure-for now! We all loved Portugal and would dash back in a heart beat, assuming mummies aren’t arrested at the border for not paying road tolls as we zig zagged up the coast…… loooooong story 🐶

Á bientôt, mes amies!
